Blue complete promo for Susy Thomas' new single

Blue, part of the VTR Group, has completed postproduction on the promo for Susy Thomas’ new single, 'Mirror for Me'.
Directed by Jon Dennis, Director of Red Bee Media, and produced by Mark Collins, the promo is Red Bee Media’s first venture into the world of music videos.
The promo, which was shot on Super 16mm and filmed at London’s Mount Pleasant studios, sees Susy Thomas performing the track to her own reflection in a bathroom mirror. As the promo progresses she’s joined by reflections of herself going about her daily business, such as playing the guitar and getting ready to go out.
The concept was the result of a close collaboration between Dennis, Blue and the artist. “I met with Susy to talk through the track and find out what it was all about,” said Dennis. “She was the keen for the piece to portray the emotions she experiences while writing a song, so that’s what we aimed to bring out.”
Using a variety of techniques including split screens and locked-off cameras, Dennis provided blue with great material to create a realistic and seamless finish. He briefed blue’s colourist, George K to achieve an earthy, almost monochrome grade.
Blue’s Davide Pascolo completed the visual effects work using Smoke.
