Five signs ITFC in new seven year deal

Five is to continue its successful association with post production facility ITFC in a new seven year deal.
Announced today, the deal will provide the Channel with VT, Materials Management and Compliance services for all its acquired programme material.
Announcing the decision, Five's Controller of Broadcast Services, David Burge said: "We are pleased to be continuing our relationship with ITFC which will allow us to further develop the technical infrastructure and services required to efficiently manage and grow our business."
Five has been one of ITFC's major clients since 1997.
The new contract continues to offer a full range of services to the Channel including: quality control, formatting of transmission tapes (including aspect ratio and standards conversion), editing for content and timing, materials management (including library storage and distribution) and provision of facilities for compliance viewing. In addition, the new agreement provides for future moves to digital storage, editing and distribution.
Chris Higgs, ITFC's Managing Director, was also delighted at the decision: "We have been successfully working with Five since their launch and this new contract will see us work with them in the evolution to digital formats for transmission. We are very excited about the challenges ahead."
West London based ITFC offers post production VT facilities, DVD authoring and access services (subtitling, audio description and in-vision signing) to a large number of clients across the broadcasting and entertainment industries including ITV, Hallmark, Warner Brothers, Buena Vista, GMTV, RTÉ (Eire) and Flextech Channels.
