VENTURA PRODUCTIONS RECEIVE AWARD FROM RTS
MIDLANDS-BASED independent production company Ventura Productions have picked up the award for ‘On-Screen Excellence’ from the RTS at a special ceremony in Birmingham.
Ventura Productions produced the 24p ‘CineAlta’ showreel on behalf of Sony. The showreel comprises a number of interviews with leading European directors and producers together with both test and real production footage from CineAlta projects by Wim Wenders, Pitof and Richard Blanshard.
Paul Cobert, Director Ventura Productions, said: “We are very excited by the possibilities of this new technology and as a Midlands-based company we are very pleased to have worked with Sony in the production of this pioneering project.”
The CineAlta showreel premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been featured at a number of film and television events throughout Europe.”
