Eleven honours for Red Bee Media

Red Bee Media, formerly BBC Broadcast, has started life under its new name by taking away a Gold from last week's British Television Advertising Craft (BTAC) Awards and 10 awards from Promax UK.
“It’s been a busy first week and we are delighted that Red Bee Media already has a raft of awards to its name after such a short time. We are particularly pleased with the four nominations we received at the BTAC awards – putting us on a par with many of the top advertising and production companies – and the resulting Gold we received for our UKTV Style ‘Five Steps to a New You’ campaign,” said Charlie Mawer, Executive Creative Director at Red Bee Media.
Red Bee Media’s BBC promos for FA Cup and Match of the Day were also nominated for a BTAC award along with the campaign it created for the Sci Fi Channel in the US. The UKTV Style promo directed by Sarah O’Gorman and featuring Emma Kennedy won Gold for Best Performance by an Actress.
Red Bee Media took away seven Golds and three Silvers from the Promax UK awards on Saturday night. Among the awarded campaigns was the BBC audio description trail that also featured in the Independent’s Ad of the Week section earlier this year.
Mawer continued: “Each year competition increases at the Promax awards as broadcasters’ focus on promotion increases. It’s an exciting time to be involved in television promotion and we are happy that so many of our awards were for campaigns developed by creatives who have recently joined Red Bee Media - suggesting a very promising future.”
