NBD TV rocks MIPCOM

Nicky Davies Williams, Chief Executive Officer of NBD TV, one of the UK’s leading independent television distributors, has announced the launch of a raft of diverse entertainment programming at this month’s MIPCOM.
‘Green Day Live At Milton Keynes – Bullet In A Bible’ follows the chart-topping punk champions as they take their ‘American Idiot’ tour to the Milton Keynes Bowl for two sell-out nights. Featuring a full live set from the band as they play the biggest shows of their lives on UK soil in front of 130,000 fans, this 1 x 60’ / 1 x 75’ Hi-Definition film includes performances of tracks such as ‘American Idiot’ and ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, as well as behind the scenes footage and extensive interviews with all the band members.
Telling the remarkable story of the man who really has seen and done it all, ‘Ozzy Osbourne: In My Life’ (1 x 48’) is a revealing portrait of the acclaimed rock star, multi-millionaire and head of one of the world’s best-known and most talked about families. Screened recently on ITV1 in the UK, this Indigo Television Production for ITV1 achieved 5.1 million viewers and won its slot with a 30% audience share. Now one of the most enduring and enigmatic figures in rock, Ozzy, the former car-horn tester, jailbird, recovering alcoholic and drug addict talks frankly about his rise from the back streets of Birmingham to the manicured lawns of Beverley Hills. His wife Sharon tells how she guided him to the very top, and friends such as Billy Connolly and Sir Elton John recount stories in a film that explains a life of excess that turned into success.
In ‘Paul McCartney – Chaos And Creation Live At Abbey Road’, one of the world’s most admired writers and performers performs a selection of songs from his new album as well as acoustic and experimental performances from his back catalogue, all filmed live in the intimate and historic setting of the infamous Abbey Road Studios. This 1 x 60’ film from MPL Communications Ltd. also features exclusive and personal behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, providing a unique opportunity to experience the man and his music from a different perspective.
