London Live Unveils 'Live From London' Strand

London Live has said it is to increase its coverage of live events across the capital, with an official 'Live from London' strand. Covering sporting events, carnivals, music and film festivals, the channel will deliver entertainment shows to reflect and celebrate the capital's rich cultural diversity.

As part of the new focus on live programming, London Live is the official broadcast partner of We Are Fstvl 2015, a two-day event boasting the biggest brands and artists from the dance music spectrum. The channel is also set to produce a special two-hour live programme for Field Day, London's annual two-day festival in Victoria Park.

In addition, 'Live from London' will expand its coverage of sporting events, including the Women's Boxing Finals between London and The South taking place on Saturday 6 June, as well as the Haringey Box Cup, broadcasting live from Alexandra Palace with an eight-hour special on Sunday 21 June.

The channel will also broadcast Pride London Festival for the second consecutive year on 27 June, as well as this summer's Nomad Film Festival.

The announcement follows the channel's successful coverage of four major events across the capital last year, which delivered a half a million viewers tuning in to watch programmes covering the Notting Hill Carnival to Miss World 2014.

Lucy Myers, Programme Director for London Live, said: "Our aim is to give Londoners exclusive behind the scenes access to the capital's most exciting events, and we are proud to celebrate London's position as the cultural capital of the world."
