Tern Television expands development team

Tern Television is reinforcing its reputation as one of the UK’s leading indies with a major new appointment.
Award-winning programme maker Paul Gallagher joins Tern Television as an Executive Producer and will form a major part of the company’s creative development team.
With a prestigious career spanning almost twenty years, Gallagher has established himself as an acclaimed producer, award-winning director and controversial writer. He began at the BBC as a researcher, working in Documentary Features and Music & Arts, before a stint at STV. On his return to the BBC, he wrote and directed several schools dramas, before penning the critically praised drama-documentary ‘Pinkerton’ starring Peter Capaldi. A number of documentaries for Channel 4 have followed, including the Post Mortem series, featuring documentaries on ‘Virginia Woolf’ and ‘Nijinsky’, a series on the internet, me.com and sexual fetishism, ‘Luv Bytes’. Most recently he has devised, written and produced documentaries including ‘When Freddie Mercury Met Kenny Everett’, ‘The Paranormal Peter Sellers’.
Another recent Tern recruit is Fraser Brown, who comes from BBC Radio Scotland’s Art Show programme where he held the post of Radio Researcher. He takes up the role of Development Researcher, and will be working closely with Gallagher and David Murdoch within the development team.
They will take up their new posts in Tern’s Glasgow office this month.
