ADOBE PREMIERE 6.0 EDITING SOFTWARE ANNOUNCED

ADOBE Systems has announced a new version of the company's award-winning digital video editing software, Adobe Premiere.
Adobe say that with the release of Premiere 6.0 video professionals can quickly and easily edit digital video on the desktop and publish it to the Web in multiple formats including RealNetworks, RealMedia, Microsoft WindowsMedia, and Apple QuickTime.
Adobe’s Premiere 6.0 software provides major enhancements to the digital video editing process - from capturing the video to the final export. Built-in, cross-platform support for a large selection of DV devices is offered, as is an enhanced user interface, new professional editing tools and integration with Adobe’s After Effects, Photoshop and Adobe GoLive packages.
Web users will appreciate Premiere 6.0’s one-step export to all leading Web video formats and the Save For Web feature that allows users to output multiple files optimised for streaming or progressive download in popular Web formats.
New tools introduced in Premiere 6.0 include the professional-level audio mixer and Automate to Timeline, which can simultaneously send a sequence of clips from the Storyboard or Project Window to the Timeline.
Premiere 6.0 also features numerous interface refinements and customisation features such as customisable workspaces; built-in DV device control; settings viewer; storyboard window; automate to timeline; a sophisticated audio mixer; history, video and audio filters and effects control palettes. Premiere 6.0 also includes over 25 After Effects filters and multiple Web export options.
Available for Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, and Mac OS 9.0.4, Premiere 6.0 is expected to ship in Q1 of 2001.
Priced at around £400 + VAT, registered users of earlier versions of Adobe Premiere to version 6.0 for approximately £105 + VAT.
