MAKE A DATE FOR VIDEOFORUM 2001
OPENING its doors from February 6 to February 8, this year's Video Forum offers video professionals the opportunity to get to grips with all the latest technology for production, post and new media.
Registration is simple – visit www.videoforum.co.uk and enter your details.
Following the record 50 per cent growth in attendance at its annual exhibition earlier this year, VideoForum is moving to Hall 1 at Wembley in February 2001. Along with the rising number of exhibitors, the move allows for the show to be 30 per cent bigger.
The larger venue has enabled considerable development of the event with an educational programme double the size of previous years; 2001 sees the launch of the VideoForum Conference Sessions, a series of presentations featuring some of the industry’s most respected companies explaining how they utilise the latest video and new media technology.
Henri Cash, Managing Director of VideoForum Limited, says: “Having run this event for nine years, the freedom to expand the show is very exciting. It has enabled us to develop a fantastic programme of educational seminars and workshops as well as launch a new series of conference sessions which will be a must for all video makers.
“And to make sure that the journey to Wembley will be worthwhile, the team has spent considerable effort in making sure that there is something for everyone, with plenty to fill the whole day.”
Exhibition Director Kieron Seth of VCM Communications, organiser of VideoForum, is equally excited about the growing number of products and new technologies being demonstrated. “With the launch of the Sony PlayStation 2, the number of homes that can view DVD will be massively increased over the next few months. And the rolling out of ADSL is making video distribution via the net a real possibility. After years of hype, visitors will finally have the chance to make money from these new business opportunities.”
While the headline grabbing digital cameras, editing systems and creative software will all be at the show, Seth stresses that the event addresses all aspects of the production and post-production cycle: “VideoForum 2001 will bring together the UK’s largest collection of dealers and distributors for batteries, lenses, lighting, tripods, tapes and other camera accessories. This is a real hands-on show for anyone in video programme making, whether in the corporate or broadcast sectors.”
Entry to VideoForum 2001 is Free. To register in advance and obtain the business seminar and technical workshop programme and full details of the conference sessions, visit www.videoforum.co.uk
