CITY STUDIO TRIO SHARE ECONOMIC HEART

L.C.C. Photon Technik have completed the design, supply and installation of three economic television studios for Lehman Brothers, the Financial Times and Citygate Television for use in the heart of the financial sector.
In conjunction with Team 4, L.C.C. Photon Technik designed and installed the new media studio for Lehman Brothers at Broadgate Circus. The lighting is by Photon Beard with control by Zero 88. P & G installed the suspension, control and electrical systems, while Team 4 supplied the MCR equipment.
The Financial Times studio on Southwark Bridge, is mainly used for blue screen productions using a mixture of floodlights, Redheads and conventional tungsten fixtures. They now use two and four tube Photon Beard fluorescent fixtures to cut down the heat output, with a small 0-10 Volt control system. No dimmers were required as the ballasts are dimmed, and the power consumption has been cut to 880 Watts in total from approx 5kW.
Citygate Television required a small studio to interview personalities from the square mile with feeds going to many of the financial broadcasters. LCC designed a suspension system, complete with drapes and track to go into a studio with a low ceiling, a bay window and no air conditioning from site visit to usable studio.
The studio's cyc lighting uses fluorescent fixtures as do the fills, key lights and effects lighting use a mixture of MSR and Dedo lighting fixtures.
