QUICK IS A NATURAL CHOICE FOR VIRTUAL SETS

QUESTECH’S ‘QuiCK’ has established itself as the chromakeyer of choice for virtual set applications.
Both high quality and cost-effective, it has all the features needed for this application. In use with broadcasters worldwide, prominent customers in the UK include the BBC and Anglia Television.
Up to eight QuiCK channels can be controlled from any of several remote control panels, normally situated in the engineering and vision control areas. Communication between panels and channels uses 10base T Ethernet networking, making the system flexible and easily expanded. Each control panel can store up to eight setups for each keyer, simplifying the copying and comparing of setups.
QuiCK’s keying features include Auto Setup, independent Garbage and Shadow Mattes, and an Alpha Key input. This is particularly useful in virtual set systems, enabling the placement of virtual foreground objects in front of the chromakeyed subject. QuiCK is unusual in its ability to key equally well on any colour, further enhancing its flexibility.
Two keying modes cope with a wide range of keying scenarios. Digital Subtractive mode handles shadows, glass and smoke well, while Multiplicative mode produces good results in areas of low key colour saturation and with difficult lighting. Key shrink can also be applied to fine-tune the key.
