Gefen launches eight-way video distribution amplifier

For multiple VGA monitor signal distribution, the new Gefen 1:8 VGA CAT-5 Distribution Amplifier provides an attractive solution.
It is a rackmountable unit equipped with one VGA input and eight RJ-45 outputs that send one centralised source to eight monitors in the same or different locations. Included in the package are eight small receiver units, one for each monitor, capable of being extended up to 100 meters over CAT-5 cables.
The Gefen 1:8 VGA CAT-5 Distribution Amplifier supports standard analogue resolutions up to 1920x1200, with analogue audio passed along the same cable for each signal.
While Gefen specialises in digital video solutions, it recognises the need to support existing infrastructures.
