Gefen To Show Four Distribution Solutions At IBC

At IBC, Gefen will show four new distribution solutions - two designed for HDMI sources and displays, and two designed for component video applications with supplemental digital audio. All four solutions take distribution one step further, offering a convenient method of extending individual displays for a multi-room viewing environment.

HDMI CAT-5 Distribution Amplifiers
Available in 1:4 and 1:8 distributions, these amplifiers split one HDMI source signal and deliver it to four or eight HDMI displays at the same time. Using independent receivers that are included with the system, each HDMI signal can be extended up to 100 meters from the source using economical category-5 cables. At 100 meters, high definition resolutions are delivered up to 1080i; at 50 meters, resolutions reach 1080p. HDMI and HDCP compliance is assured at both distances.

Component Audio CAT-5 Distribution Amplifiers
These 1:4 and 1:8 distribution amplifiers accept one component video source with a digital audio input and deliver both audio and video to four or eight component displays, each with a digital audio output. This allows for a true high definition audio/video experience with resolutions supported up to 1080p. Connected displays with audio may be extended up to 100 meters from the distribution amplifiers using category-5 cables and individual receivers units.
