SYNTHETIC DIMENSIONS INSTALL MAYA

SYNTHETIC Dimensions, the OFEX-listed 3D computer graphics, animation and new media company based in Wolverhampton, have announced that they have completed the installation of Maya, the modelling and rendering software developed by Alias Wavefront.
Jim Driscoll, Chairman of Synthetic Dimensions, said: “Maya complements Synthetic’s existing portfolio of software and completes a program of improvement which began after flotation. We started by upgrading hardware and then continued with training. Synthetic now have the equipment, people and software to compete internationally with anyone.”
Maya has been used in Hollywood successes such as ‘The Mummy’, ‘Stuart Little’, ‘The Grinch’ and ‘Star Wars: Episode One’, and it is used by leading animation studios worldwide. (CD)
