Jonathan Niednagel named President of Xytech Systems

Xytech Systems Corporation, a leading provider of workflow and media asset management software, announced today that they have promoted Jonathan Niednagel to President.
Formerly Xytech’s Vice President of Strategic Sales, Niednagel has more than 15 years of experience in assisting software companies grow and increase market share.
“Jonathan’s full knowledge of the industry and his years here at Xytech make him a perfect fit for this role,” said Richard Gallagher, Xytech CEO. “He has a firm grasp on what Xytech needs in order to remain a major player in this field, as well as incomparable leadership capabilities and vision for how we can continue to grow and continue our success.”
Niednagel added: “Xytech has tremendous opportunities in the entertainment and media industries, and I am honored that I have been tapped to help guide the company during such exciting times.”
Niednagel began his career with Quarterdeck and later spent several years as a Senior Group Product Manager at Symantec, where he was instrumental in the development and sales success of the Norton Enterprise Anti-Virus system. After leaving Symantec he founded Mobile Automation, and later departed to join Idealab, an internet incubator company made up of a compilation of 30 companies. While there Niednagel served as CEO of one of the operating companies from 1999-2003. In 2003 he joined Xytech as a member of their sales division.
Throughout his career Niednagel has helped to developed business plans for several successful startups. While at Xytech he has been completely hands-on with the product side, and helped progress the company from being primarily film based to digitally based. Since joining the Xytech team Niednagel has assisted in building the company into a more mature enterprise software company now working with many Fortune 100 accounts.
