GOOD RESPONSE FOR NORTHERN LITES

ALMOST 90 scripts were received for the first Northern Lites action short film scheme fully funded by BBC Northern Ireland.
Organisers say that the quality of submissions was extremely high and two films have been selected for production in January and February 2001 for delivery by March 23.
The films selected were ‘Stumped’ written by Michael Burns and Colm McManus, and produced by Alex Lewis from Whatever Pictures, and ‘Petrol Country Blues’ by Gerry Leonard, produced by Katrina Shine from Shine On Productions.
For further information on Northern Lites contact the Executive Producer Gemma McMullun on tel: (028) 9033 8498. (CD)
