BBC FIRST TO OFFER INFERNO CAPABILITY

BBC Resources have announced that they will open their new high-end post-production facility in the Television Centre next month, making them the first broadcasters in the UK to offer Discreet Logic's Inferno.
The latest version of Inferno version 4, running on an Onyx 2, features tools essential for work at higher bit-depth per colour channel and spatial image resolution, allowing clients to deliver work in Standard Definition, HDTV and film resolution. It offers a highly sophisticated palette of features including 3D and 2D Motion Tracking, Colour Warper, Motion Estimation Timewarp, Modular Keyer, Editing, 2D and 3D integration, Paint, Text, and Universal 24p Mastering.
Inferno operator James Adamson has been recruited to entice Soho-centric companies to make the twenty-minute journey out to W12. Prior to joining BBC Resources, Adamson spent a year and a half working as a freelance Inferno and Flame Artist at various companies including SVC, Clear, Complete, XTV, Ozone And First Post, having served his Flame apprenticeship at VTR.
His list of credits include commercials for Mars, Oil of Olay, Fiat, as well as promos for artists Neneh Cherry (Woman) and Pulp (Help the Aged). (CD)
