NAME CHANGE FOR TELEMEDIA SYSTEMS
CAMBRIDGE company Telemedia Systems, creators of SpectreView browsing technology, are to join with their sister company in the US, forming the new single, multinational company, Internet Pro Video.
This will unite the two offices, based in Cambridge and Los Angeles, creating a single company with a rapidly developing product range.
Telemedia Systems have established their standing in the broadcast industry over a number of years, with the design and development of the SpectreView browsing technology, which now forms an established standard. Throughout this period, Telemedia have also developed and maintained a successful partnership programme providing SpectreView and its upgrades to OEM’s such as iNEWS, Omnibus, ANN, and Informix.
As Internet Pro Video, the company will continue to develop SpectreView alongside their new Flexible Media Architecture (FMA). Eventually, SpectreView will incorporate FMA technology, which will facilitate media browsing over any wide area medium, offering a variety of applications. Any company wishing to distribute, manipulate or sell media over the Internet can use FMA technology, which is ideal for the review and approval process used by agencies or producers of film or commercials.
Martin Sebborn, President of Internet Pro Video, said: “We have been very successful in the Broadcast Market with SpectreView and remain committed to that market. FMA technology allows us to bring the same benefits to a wider market. The combining of the two companies and offices into a single entity allows us to focus on our core strengths delivering excellent technology to the media markets.” (GB)
