Italian broadcaster chooses Chyron

Chyron Corporation has announced that major Italian broadcaster, the Mediaset Group, based in Rome, has installed a Chryon Aprisa VCS server for use in its news graphics department.
The installation was carried out by Chyron’s Italian partner, Video Progetti.
The Chyron Aprisa VCS was first used by Mediaset in May for live broadcasts of the country’s regional political elections.
Excelling in today’s fast-paced DTV environments, Chyron’s Aprisa VCS provides Mediaset’s news graphics department with a main clip and stills storage server controlled by two dedicated Chyron control panels, feeding the network’s news studios, which plays out live to air several times a day.
Using Chyron Aprisa VCS, Mediaset is able to construct playlists offline or instantly modify playlists while live on the air without disturbing playout.
