The Mill posts two spots for genuine Mini Adventures

The latest two Mini commercials post produced at The Mill in London, for agency: WCRS, highlight the car's genuine iconic status as an object of desire as people customise all manner of objects to look just like one of the cars.
The commercials compare and contrast the real Minis with the self-built 'wannabees', which although they use distinctive Mini design features such as checkered wing mirrors and fake radiator grills and headlights, come up somewhat lacking when compared to the real thing. They conclude that viewers should "make sure it's a Mini."
In 'Genuine or Fake', the real Mini drives past a Mini-ised truck, kayak, canal boat, horse and piano in turn. It has to be said, the real car corners much better than the piano. In 'Spotting', meanwhile, the viewer is treated to Mini versions of cement mixers, cattle, cherry pickers and finally a Mini-ised shed going through a car wash.
Much of the effects needed to turn all the objects into Minis were shot in camera. The Mill's Neil Davies then took the shots into Flame to tidy up the images and finesse the fakes even further.
"They'd dressed objects such as the truck as well as they could," he commented, "but they needed that extra 10% from us to make them look like their owners had really self-built them from scratch."
