Reuters adopts revolutionary new communications solution from twofourtv
Twofourtv has been selected by global information provider Reuters to deliver a groundbreaking interactive webcasting solution.
The implementation, capable of reaching Reuters' 14,500 staff in 91 countries, will use GoodMood WIP, Europe's leading internal webcasting application.
"Reuters has used internal broadcasting extensively to communicate our company strategy to employees all around the world," said Steve Clarke, Head of Internal Media at Reuters. "In the last two years in particular we have used it as a key part of ambitious companywide communication days during which we have broadcast internally for up to 22 hours continuously. We now want to push internal broadcasting further down into Reuters and integrate it more closely into our everyday work. GoodMood will be an essential tool to help us do this. We have tried it intensively and found that it makes it easy to combine video with other media interactively. We are looking forward to working with GoodMood to help develop the product still further."
Mark Hawkins, twofourtv's Chief Operating Officer, said: "For many years webcasting has been viewed predominantly as an Investor Relations tool. Its real value however has always been in training, internal comms and marketing communications, but the barrier to its deployment for these applications has been its expense and complexity of use.
Now, with this technology, which GoodMood is leading the way in developing, it is possible for organisations to turn round sophisticated webcasts very quickly and without incurring huge costs. I believe Reuters is the first FTSE 100 company to invest in a third party 'out-of-box' webcasting application and start to exploit it to its full potential."
"Intranet-based TV is set to become the backbone of corporate communications, solving many of the problems faced by large organisations in keeping workforces informed and motivated," added Charles Wace, CEO, twofourtv. "twofourtv has built a reputation on delivering exciting interactive communication to employees and we are delighted that Reuters has selected us to take its internal communications strategy to the next level."
