PRUDENTIAL SIGN UP FOR INTERACTIVE KIT

KINGSTON Interactive Television (KIT), Hull and East Yorkshire’s interactive television service, have announced that life insurance company, Prudential, have launched financial advice using games, quizzes and a comic strip.
Prudential are featured on KIT's Home Shopping, allowing customers to access information on products from the comfort of their armchair.
KIT delivers home shopping alongside digital, multi-channel television, including Sky services, unmetered internet and email and local news and information services to thousands of customers across the Kingston Communications' network.
Real life video stories about financial planning are available on demand as is an advice clinic, ‘Ask the Expert’, which has launched with information on stakeholder pensions and will change monthly.
The site also provides budget planners as well as income tax and loan repayment calculators. For lighter relief, there is a ‘Game of Life’, a quiz and adventures in Pruville, a specially produced comic strip.
Jaz Saggu, Head of E-commerce at Prudential Financial Services, said: "Our move onto KIT builds on our strategy of giving customers a choice in how they contact us. More people will be looking for financial information on their digital TV than just on PCs."
Prudential joins a range of other home shopping services on KIT including insurance broker 1st Quote, which can give prices on car, home, pet, travel and motorbike cover through the television. (CD)
