TIVO SERVICE INCLUDES ATOMFILMS CATALOGUE

TIVO, creators of personal television, and AtomFilms, a company that focuses on redefining the way entertainment is created, distributed, marketed, have partnered to deliver AtomFilms entertainment programming on the TiVo Service.
TiVo subscribers will be able to view for the first time high-quality short films and animations from award-winning AtomFilms catalogue. AtomFilms will be available on digital video recorders through TiVo’s Personal TV service. Atom will provide films and animations for TiVo’s weekly interactive TV show, ‘TiVo Takes’, as well as to TiVo Direct, the preloaded content appearing in the Now Showing and Now Playing area on TiVo Central.
Taking further advantage of this agreement, the two companies will work to create original programming with further revenue-generating opportunities.
Industry support of TiVo is reflected in their partnership roster that includes, AOL, Blockbuster, BSkyB, DirecTV, Philips, Sony and Thomson.
The TiVo service is available in the US, on the Philips Personal TV Recorder and the Sony Digital Network Recorder. It is also available in nearly 3500 consumer electronics retail and online outlets and in the UK under the Thomson Scenium brand. (CD)
