AVW CONTROLS ANNOUNCE IMPRESSARIO

NORFOLK based AVW Controls, manufacturers of integrated motion control systems for the entertainment industry, have announced the development of ‘Impressario’, a computerised system for moving scenery.
Impressario, which can record up to 500 cues, is an integrated motion control system featuring a computer control console and purpose designed motion processor modules. The control console communicates on a high-speed data network with up to 255 motion processors. Each processor is interfaced to a servo amplifier or motor controller that responds to commands from the Impressario console.
Anton Woodward of AVW said: “Impressario allows directors to pre-programme individual scenery bars with the movement and positions needed for every scene change, ensuring that everything happens on cue.”
AVW Controls work involves rigging and scenery control for theatres, concerts, television and film sets. (GB)
