UEI To Supply Broadcaster With Club-Branded Remote Controls

News Image
Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI) has announced a deal with Sky Deutschland to supply the broadcaster with club-branded remote controls.

Each remote control will feature the individual branding of one German club through the use of unique ultra-graphic water transfer technology that ensures the precision and premium quality of the materials. Fifteen of the top league's clubs are participating.
UEI has extensive experience in developing personalised remote control units for broadcasters in Europe and the USA. Menno Koopmans, senior VP subscription broadcasting at UEI said: "Often the remote control is the only tangible hardware that the end user sees, and uses all the time, which makes it the ideal vehicle for brand activation.
"For a broadcaster like Sky Deutschland that delivers premium content to audiences in Germany and Austria, with exclusive coverage of all German Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League matches, as well as Premier League games and many more, the addition of these themed remotes brings an added element of passion and emotion to the brand and reinforces the nation’s love of football."
The branded remotes will be made available through the Sky Deutschland website to coincide with the start of the 2014/2015 football season.
