MTV GOES INTERACTIVE WITH TWO WAY TV
MTV, one of the world’s best known music brands, have joined forces with digital interactive TV specialists Two Way TV to create enhanced music programming for their channels in the UK.
MTV viewers will be able to test their own music knowledge, learn more about their favourite artists and put together their own fantasy label. The agreement will see MTV and Two Way TV develop a whole range of interactive quizzes and video-based programmes for all of the MTV channels.
On-demand and scheduled prize games based on the music industry carrying the MTV brand will also run on Two Way TV’s 24-hour interactive TV games channel on digital cable networks and ONdigital.
Matthew Tims, Two Way TV Managing Director, said: “MTV are the most recognised television music brand in the world and have unrivalled music content. Two Way TV will be working hand in hand with MTV producers to take that content and add an interactive layer that will really appeal to their youthful audience.”
Subscribers will be able to join in just for fun on pay-per-play for big prize games, and the revenues will be split between Two Way TV and MTV. (CD)
