MEDIA PROGRAMME GOES CELTIC

THE UK and Irish offices of the European Union's MEDIA Programme will again this year be organising events at the Celtic Film and Television Festival (CFTF) in Truro, Cornwall, from March 28 to the 31.
The EU MEDIA Programme supports the development, distribution and promotion of European audiovisual works by offering grants for documentary, film, animation, drama and multimedia projects as well as support for festivals, markets and training courses.
MEDIA events this year will comprise of a whole day of Business Encounter sessions on March 30, offering exclusive opportunities for companies and freelancers to sign up to meet top commissioning editors, financiers, distributors and other professionals on a one-to-one basis.
On March 29, the MEDIA team will also be holding an information briefing on the new European MEDIA Plus programme and other EU initiatives of interest to the audiovisual sector in the Celtic countries. There will also be a EU MEDIA Programme stand distributing general information and advice throughout the festival.
