Canopus announces low-cost EDIUS DVX introductory offer
Continuing to bring powerful real-time non-linear editing capabilities to video professionals and enthusiasts at affordable prices, Canopus recently announced EDIUS DVX.
On show at NAB and available at a special introductory price, EDIUS DVX combines affordability with a high-performance feature set that provides an array of real-time editing capabilities for DV editors. These features include real-time multi-track editing, real-time filters, 3D effects and render-free DV output. EDIUS DVX also provides real-time colour correction with waveform and vectorscope monitors, variable speed control, DV chroma key, auto white balance, region filter, and voiceover recording.
Canopus boast that EDIUS DVX's advanced hardware codec encodes to the DV format without placing any load on the CPU, providing unparalleled real-time editing performance. EDIUS DVX provides real-time DV capture via IEEE 1394, plus real-time DV and analogue output.
"EDIUS DVX adds a keenly priced, no-compromise DV editing solution to our existing line up of EDIUS-based hardware solutions," said Mark Evans, CEO Canopus Europe. "Utilising a brand new board and chipset design, Canopus once again demonstrates our commitment to our existing DV customer base to provide excellence in real-time editing and at the same time providing comprehensive support for the Premiere Pro user".
Powered by EDIUS Pro 3 editing software, EDIUS DVX provides real-time, multi-track, mixed format editing, compositing, chroma keying, titling, and supports real-time output of multiple video tracks, effects, and graphics and title layers. EDIUS Pro 3 also supports direct-to-DVD timeline export via the included ProCoder Express.
For users of Adobe Premiere, EDIUS DVX provides the same real-time editing enjoyed with previous DVStorm products, delivering five simultaneous real-time video streams and unlimited title and graphics layers.
