Eyeheight announces SQ-2E squeezeback at NAB

Introduced at the NAB 2005 as a major new addition to Eyeheight's range of master control and video post-production equipment, the SQ-2E is a dual-input squeezeback processor with integrated keying.
Designed for picture-in-picture and image-squeeze applications, the SQ-2E can perform real-time horizontal and vertical resizing effects, individually or simultaneously.
Each input can be positioned in any part of the picture area and keyed over or behind the other incoming channel. Signals can also be cropped in width or height. A preview output allows the operator to check setup and transitions. The system includes squeezeback setup software fully compatible with current versions of Microsoft Windows.
Compatible with 625 and 525 line formats, the SQ-2E incorporates high-quality horizontal and vertical spatial-interpolation filtering and anti-aliasing, enabling it to maintain clean display of resized programme titles and credits. The SQ-2E has two inputs and three outputs, all 270 Mbit/s SDI-compatible. The outputs are configured as A-input loop, programme-out and preview-out.
Up to six SQ-2E squeezebacks can be housed in a 1U FB-9 Flexi-Box chassis with optional FP-9 local control panel. Full remote control is possible via Eyeheight geNETics protocol or an AU-1 automation card. Input line equalisation is provided for up to 200 metres of PSF 1/3 or equivalent cable.
