NIFTC hosts world premiere of 'Mickybo & Me'
The NIFTC is to host the Northern Ireland Gala Charity Premiere of feature film 'Mickybo & Me' on March 22 in Belfast, in association with United International Pictures.
Written and directed by Terry Loane and starring Julie Walters, Ciaran Hinds, Adrian Dunbar, Gina McKee and Susan Lynch the film introduces local actors Niall Wright and John-Jo McNeill. Set in the summer of 1970, 'Mickybo & Me' is the tale of two boys from Belfast and their last summer of innocence. Inspired by the adventures of their screen heroes Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the two boys embark on a journey of discovery that will shape their lives forever.
The premiere, which will take place in VUE Cinemas in Belfast’s Odyssey, will be a unique event for Northern Ireland, attracting many of the country’s on and off screen talent.
Mickybo & Me is a Universal Pictures, Studio Canal and Working Title Films presentation in association with the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission and the Irish Film Board.
Produced by Mark Huffam and Michael McGeagh, the film’s Executive producers are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Natascha Wharton, Stephen Daldry
Attendance at this Red Carpet event will be by invitation only.
