OMNIBUS SYSTEMS TO DEMONSTRATE UPGRADES
EMPHASISING the breadth and range of their broadcast solutions, OmniBus Systems will be demonstrating upgrades and enhancements to their market-leading station automation and asset management systems at NAB2001.
The show stand will be divided into three sections: OmniBus Systems Ltd; Advanced Broadcast Technology (ABT), featuring AVS Graphics and Media; Management Data, web@NTZ and David.
The OmniBus Systems section is divided into four separate areas: OmniBus’ Asset and Media Management applications enable users to manipulate, add and annotate metadata within the broadcast environment. OmniBus will also show the latest MOS Protocol-based developments based on the company’s range of newsroom applications.
OmniBus will be showing Colossus, its multi-channel, multi-delivery automation and control system, which is designed to bridge the gap between video, audio, Internet and data-streaming applications. Enhanced features include the Cache Manager, which not only manages media access across a large number of servers but also represents graphically the amount of space available on each of the servers and shows the media flow between them.
The News Room section will feature OmniBus’ desktop control solutions including its recently enhanced desktop audio production tools, which allow journalists to quickly and easily lay up multiple audio tracks against browse pictures and mix the levels between them. This includes the ability to add voice-overs directly at the desktop.
The News Studio area will feature key components of the OmniBus broadcast automation system including Lines Record, Columbus, News Control and Shot Logger.
The section of the stand devoted to Advanced Broadcast Technology, the new OmniBus Systems’ division, will feature ManuScript character generators, StillBank still store systems and MultiBrowse, an entry-level stand-alone desktop browse system that allows users to view up to four independent line feeds in real-time.
