Nick Price joins twofourtv as Head of Branded Content
Twofourtv, part of the leading independent broadcast and business television production company Twofour, has appointed Nick Price as Head of Branded Content.
The appointment comes as twofourtv is expanding its growing branded/advertiser-funded programming (AFP) business, which already includes projects such as 'Audi at Le Mans' (Channel 4), The British Heart Foundation's 'Kitchen Detective' (Discovery) and 'The London Boat Show' (ITV).
Working under twofour's Commercial Director, Jason Langley, Price will bridge the gap between corporate clients and broadcasters by creating high quality programming which also communicates the intricate marketing messages of the commercial partners.
"Revenues from television subscriptions have already overtaken traditional advertising revenues," said Price. "And with the increased use of technology such as Sky Plus, spot advertising can no longer be relied upon to deliver the cut through that advertisers require. For both brands and broadcasters, the development of advertiser-funded programming is now a serious option. While AFP currently accounts for only a small part of all broadcast programming, indications predict it will grow to between 10%-15% by 2010. Twofour, with its unique combination of broadcast and business production experience, is at the forefront of this emerging market."
Price comes to twofourtv from Extreme Entertainment, where he was Head of Programme Development and Co-Productions.
