FILM COUNCIL APPOINT EUROPEAN BUSINESS EXECUTIVE

The Film Council have announced the appointment of Jan-Jacob Lousberg as European Business Executive.
Lousberg will play a key role at the Film Council working in conjunction with the production, development and training funds and the business affairs department to carry out the aims and targets set for the Film Council's European initiatives, including sourcing projects, talent, and funding opportunities in Europe. His brief also includes working on wider strategic issues such progressing the Film Council's European strategy in all areas from production to export promotion as well as helping to develop potential creative and business partnerships in Europe to benefit the UK film industry.
Previously a Story Editor and Acquisitions and Development Executive at Fine Line Features, Lousberg has established relationships with UK and continental European agents, talent, producers and sales agents.
He was also a development manager at A-Lab in Amsterdam, Lousberg co-ordinated the merger between five Dutch production companies. (CD)
