Gefen releases high definition source switcher and extension solutions

Gefen have announced the release of two dual link DVI products, both of which work with high definition video.
The DVI-DL Switcher allows users to connect two sources to a display equipped with just one input. Which source to view is selected manually or with a remote control, and the switch between sources occurs instantly, offering immediate access to the source.
The DVI-2000 HD uses a sender and receiver system to send dual link DVI video up to 1640 feet (500 metres) over fibre optic cables. The sender unit connects to the source and the receiver unit to the extended display. Sender and receiver are linked by multimode fibre optic cables designed to prevent signal degradation at long distances.
Both the DVI-DL Switcher and the DVI-2000 HD are engineered to deliver high definition video that is HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection) compliant.
