PACE SIGNS UP NEW ITALIAN CUSTOMER

PACE Micro Technology have announced that they have signed a new contract with Italian broadcaster Stream for 150,000 digital satellite home gateways.
The gateway, based on Pace’s successful digital satellite technology initially developed for the UK market, will be used by Stream for multichannel television and interactive services throughout Italy.
Italy is now the fastest growing market in Europe for digital television after the UK Stream have over 700,000 subscribers and will be using Pace’s home gateway technology to deliver their range of digital services including a full range of programming, pay-per-view services for sports and movies. Furthermore, Stream are already providing a full range of new interactive services including TV-email, Fantacalcio and home banking. Stream will distribute the Pace gateways through both retail and rental.
