GEEVS SERVER OFFERS MULTIPLE SOURCE RECORDING

GEE Broadcast Systems have announced the option for multiple camera recording on their GeeVS broadcast video server.
The new multi-camera option provides synchronised recording and playback of up to four cameras. In multi-camera mode the GeeVS can record material from up to four camera feeds simultaneously with frame accuracy. The recorded material can then be played back with the material locked together in time. If required one of the recordings can be slipped in time relative to the others and the material played back with the offset applied.
In addition keyframes can be marked while recording to create an initial cut list between the sources. The cut list can then either be used within GeeVS or exported as an edit decision list (EDL) for use in an editing system.
The 4RU high GeeVS system can be used to record four differing camera angles and contains sufficient storage for two hours recording of all four sources. Versions are available for SDI and analogue video and system control can either be directly from the GeeVS server console or remotely over a network.
GeeVS Servers provide broadcast video and audio media capture, media management and processing, and full multi-channel playout facilities.
