NEW CHROMA KEYER FROM CRYSTAL VISION

CRYSTAL Vision launched a new digital chroma keyer, Safire.
Ideal for any chroma key or virtual set production, it builds on the considerable strengths of the well-respected X-KEY while going one stage further in quality and features.
One important new improvement is Safire's size. The 266mm x 100mm board fits in the company's standard frames, meaning it can be effortlessly integrated with any of Crystal Vision's interface products and allowing the fitting of six chroma keyers in 1U or 12 in 2U.
Safire guarantees a high quality and realistic output by featuring both a wealth of fine adjustments for optimised edges and sophisticated shadow processing which allows the intensity of shadows to be precisely adjusted.
There are two internal masks - Background Force and Foreground Force - and one external custom-shaped mask, Alpha Key, which can all be used to overrule the chroma keying process by forcing any area to show Background or Foreground.
In addition to the linear chroma keying, Safire can be used as a stand-alone linear keyer, ideal for applying graphics to a video source. It also has mix and wipe modes which can be used either on their own or combined with the chroma or linear keying modes.
Operating Safire is easy, with all functions controlled from the PAN-XKEY remote control panel.
