Datavideo Announces HD Chroma/Luma Key Solution

Broadcast and AV suppliers Datavideo have announced the release of a new live, real-time HD chroma key and luma key solution.
Shipping this month, DVK-300HD is a standalone HD chroma key device that can be controlled locally using a directly attached laptop or remotely over an IP network.
"Most HD chroma key systems are either complex computer-based solutions or are embedded in sophisticated vision mixers. For users that simply need accurate and affordable live keying in a portable device, the DVK-300HD is a great new option," said Allan Leonhardsen of Datavideo's distributor, Holdan.
Fitting into HDMI and SDI-based live environments, the keyer supports SD and HD resolutions up-to 1080P.
High resolution backgrounds are ingested via SDI, HDMI or DVI. Backgrounds can be a live video feed, live computer graphic or a still image, while the primary video can be ingested from virtually any digital camera.
Users have the ability to vary image parameters to reduce noise artefacts, unwanted colour spill from the set, unrealistic edges and unnatural borders.
A SDI and an HDMI output enable users to monitor the composited picture on any modern video monitor. Studios can simultaneously output the final video signal by SDI to be broadcast or recorded in real-time.
