CRYSTAL VISION'S NEW DESK TOP BOX

CRYSTAL Vision have developed a new-style desk top box - the DTB-AV - to offer customers a low-cost solution for applications involving just one or two boards.
The DTB-AV replaces the DTB-2 which had fixed rear connectors and could only take video cards. The new DTB-AV can house any two video or audio boards and was developed following the increase in Crystal Vision's audio range. This improved versatility is thanks to the wide range of removable rear modules which plug on to the back, with the DTB-AV able to accept any of the one and two slot rear modules originally designed for the company's similarly styled FR2AV 2U frame.
The DTB-AV is fitted with a larger fixed power supply - 30 watts instead of the former 15 - which means it can handle the higher powered cards such as the TANDEM dual audio embedder/de-embedder and the LKEY211 digital linear keyer. With this doubling of power, the DTB-AV is fitted with a fan to assist card cooling.
1U ears can be fitted to facilitate mounting in a desk. The DTB-AV comes with a passive front panel as standard, but can also be fitted with the new FP1-SAV active front panel to control up to two desk top boxes. The DTB-AV is available to buy now.
