ACI ANNOUNCE BROADCASTING FOOTBALL CONFERENCE
ACCESS Conferences International (ACI) have announced their first Broadcasting Football conference which is to be held at Chelsea Village, London, which will run from August 2 to the 3 2001.
The two-day event is designed to provide sports broadcasters, football executives and technology gurus with advice on how to integrate future technologies to increase brand awareness, maximise profitability and fuel new revenue streams.
Chaired by Rogan Taylor, Director of the Football Research Unit, University of Liverpool on day one and by Chelsea Village Chairman, Ken Bates on day two, the conference comes with the support of five official media sponsors, including New Media Markets, Soccer Investor, Sports and Character Licensing, Sports Marketing and TV Sports Markets.
During the event, senior representatives from Akamai Technologies, BSkyB, Citria, Eurosport International, Grupo Sogecable (Spain), HotGen Studios, ITV Digital, Liverpoolfc.tv, Media Content, Sports.com, TV Globo (Brazil), Vision Sports PR and many other industry experts will explore the revenue opportunities and challenges that the convergence of the Internet and new broadcast technologies are creating for all those involved in the business.
Issues such as creating new media partnerships, leveraging football sponsorship, enlarging revenue streams across multiple platforms and the realisation of virtual advertising potential will be addressed through insightful case studies and in-depth presentations from the speakers panel.
The conference offers a unique forum for sports broadcasters, football clubs, sports portals, governing bodies, public relations agencies, advertisers and indeed all those involved in the business of football who need to understand how this mass-market product can use this burgeoning audience to generate revenue streams.
