OPTEX LENS LAUNCH
OPTEX have announced the introduction of a brand new prime lens specifically manufactured for use with film or HDTV cameras.
The Nikon 300mm T2.2 high speed lens is supplied with two 52mm clear filters located in filter slots and is available with either an Arri PL or Sony B4 mount. For those wishing to use the PL mounted version on a video camera, a Nikon to B4 mount optical interface adapter is available.
The lens is made with Extra-low Dispersion glass for sharp, high contrast images even at full aperture and an internal focusing mechanism allowing for easier handling. Scaled in feet on both sides of the lens, focusing is in the conventional motion picture direction and, whether Arri PL or Sony B4 mounted, the MOD is 13ft measured from the film/image plane. Gear rings are fitted to focus and iris so that conventional film accessories such as studio follow focus rigs, manual fluid zoom drives and motorised control systems, can be used.
