FILMFOUR LAUNCH SEVEN FILMS AT THE EIFF

FILMFOUR DISTRIBUTORS will launch seven films at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF), which takes place on August 12 and 13.
The films include world premieres of ‘Lucky Break’, ‘The Warrior’ and ‘This Filthy Earth.
EIFF will host the eagerly anticipated world premiere of ‘Lucky Break’. James Nesbitt and Olivia Williams play an in-mate and a prison councillor whose romance blossoms behind bars. Featuring a great British cast, ‘Lucky Break’ is a hilarious and unpredictable romantic comedy from the director of ‘The Full Monty’. An original idea by Cattaneo, the script was written by novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett, and also stars Timothy Spall, Bill Nighy, Lennie James and Christopher Plummer.
‘The Warrior’ also receives its world premiere at Edinburgh. Directed by the award winning Asif Kapadia, ‘The Warrior’ is a timeless story of an epic journey from the deserts of Rajasthan to the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas.
Cannes festival crowd-pleaser ‘Crush’ has its UK premiere at EIFF. A comedy about what happens when good sex, bad behaviour and a sexy young man tests three women's friendships. ‘Crush’ is written and directed by talented newcomer John McKay and stars Andie McDowell, Imelda Staunton and Anna Chancellor.
Internationally acclaimed Czech surrealist director Jan Svankmajer returns with ‘Little Otik’ an original contemporary fairy tale. (CD)
