Milagro Post expands with Quantel

Michigan-based Milagro Post has increased its original QEdit Pro order, placed a little more than a year ago, by three.
The company has also added another eQ with Version2 software to their existing machine, giving the facility a huge advantage with the addition of more powerful multi-format editing features and comprehensive toolsets.
eQ operator Michael Suggs and business partner Chad Cooper have built their business around being forward thinking and technologically advanced enough to 'leap frog the competition'. This involved setting up a facility with the latest generation of Quantel technology making up the greater part of its offerings; Milagro stating that the secret to producing so many commercial spots – and they produce a lot of them – is to equip each suite with two QEdit Pros and a QEffects workstation.
“Quantel is integral to our success,” said Suggs, “We have raised the bar with the generationQ platform. Last year we had a client who completed 4000 commercials in our rooms. This year they are projected to do 12,000. The QEdit Pros and eQs are the only systems that can handle that workload due to the blistering speed with which they are able to complete versioning jobs.
“We feel that generationQ is the platform of choice. One thing I love about the eQ is I can put multiple resolutions onto the timeline and not worry about whether something needs to be up-rezzed or down-rezzed or cross-converted to make it work. Another outstanding feature Quantel offers is QColor, which we have on both of our eQs. Being able to color correct in context is a real time saver and our clients love it.”
