THOMAS TAKES ON TOP SALES ROLE AT GVG

UNDERPINNING its commitment to the European market, the Grass Valley Group have announced the appointment of Niels Thomas as the Sales Director, (northern region) for the company’s Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) operation.
Niels will be responsible for the company’s overall sales activities in this region and will report directly to Jean-Marc Hoffer, vice president of the Grass Valley Group’s EAME operations.
Responsible for managing both the direct and indirect sales channels across the Grass Valley Group’s entire line of video servers, vision mixers, routers, modular, news production products, and new media (Internet, Digital Cinema) products and markets, Thomas will continue to drive at strengthening the company’s highly technical and consultative sales team.
Previously Thomas spent 11 years at Sony Broadcast and Professional UK, where he held key roles in sales and account management. He has a breadth of international experience following many years in Africa working for a range of television companies including the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Tedelex South Africa and Swaziland Television Broadcasting Corporation. More recently, Thomas was a regional sales manager with EMC² and addressed the newly emerging rich media applications markets.
