DiGiCo Quantum225T Makes Its Official Debut At ISE 2025

It's no secret that many of Broadway's and West End's largest theatrical houses steadfastly choose to rely on DiGiCo's Quantum7T mixing console show-after-show for its applauded theatre-centric feature set, massive I/O capabilities, and exceptional audio performance.

Now, much more modestly-sized performing arts venues and regional touring productions also have reason to celebrate as the manufacturer announces the ISE 2025 launch of a 'T' software version of its most compact Quantum Range desk, the Quantum225T.

Boasting powerful, refined hardware and Quantum processing, the Quantum225T's functionality and worksurface are instantly reconfigured to provide the specialist theatre programming tools that deliver the versatility needed for theatre sound design, rehearsal, and show operation. In particular, Quantum225T users will quickly appreciate the console's intuitive programming and workflow that enhances the cue system with DiGiCo's renowned Auto Update and cue data management tools.

Auto Update allows designers to establish intricate inter-cue relationships, with changes made to channel settings automatically propagating to other related cues. Character variations, often a result of costume and prop changes, are handled with the Alias function, and cast changes are easily managed through the Players function.

Quantum225T's channel processing and mixing functions are identical to its live-focused Quantum225 counterpart, but the crosspoint matrix gains individual nodal delays and matrix aliases. This enhanced matrixing system plays a hugely important role within complex theatre output processing, and this is all achieved without compromising any of the Quantum225T’s general processing capabilities.

The console sports a lightweight-yet-robust control surface in addition to comprehensive 'in the box' mixing, reducing the need for outboard equipment. Among its many standout amenities are now-familiar features from the existing Quantum Range, including Mustard Processing channel strips, Spice Rack plugin style native FPGA processing options, Nodal Processing, and True Solo.

The Quantum225T is equipped with 96 input channels and 48 busses, as well Mustard and Nodal Processor tallies to 36 and 48, respectively. Mix minus is also included in the new feature set, plus a larger 24x24 matrix. There are four MADI ports and dual DMI ports for added connectivity, 8x8 analog and four AES channels for local I/O, built-in UB MADI, and optional Optocore, plus dual PSU.

DiGiCo’s theatre-specific software extension, already familiar to users of the Quantum852T, Quantum7T, Quantum338T, SD12T, SD10T, and SD9T, can also be added to any Quantum225; a simple unlock code can be entered to enable the theatre features on any Quantum225 console.

The new Quantum225T is expected to ship in late-March.
