QUER's Municipal Radio Works In Digital

Radio Quer was born in 2012 as a collective project led by Edgard Delgado, councillor for new technologies of the Quer Town Council in Guadalajara - Spain.

With no age or subject limits, Radio Quer has been created to encourage the creativity of young and not so young people in the town.

"Enthusiasm, joy and happiness, that's Radio Quer. But always with perseverance, because without it, projects do not go ahead. Radio Quer is going to give a voice to many people who have a lot to tell. To people who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. We open the door to the world for them, and on that road, we are merely intermediaries," adds Edgard.

Currently the technical management of the city council has approved the renovation of its main broadcasting studio in the municipal business incubator, where of course AEQ digital technology occupies a prominent place, being the heart of the whole system an ultra-compact AEQ CAPITOL IP mixer through which all the signals produced there pass. Given the level of operators of the station, it has been decided to install AEQ technology for its robustness, superior digital audio quality and simple operation.

AEQ CAPITOL IP is an 8-channel fixed configuration Digital Audio mixing console. In CAPITOL IP the implementation of IP connectivity is based on a single module of 16 input and 16 output channels, incorporated in its chassis. One of the main qualities of AEQ CAPITOL IP is the wide input capacity available: 4 mic/line, 12 analogue, 4 digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3), 2 digital stereo USB, 2 optional telephone lines, and optional digital multichannel audio links; 16 AoIP channels over two ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels input over optical fibre.
