7TV Upgrades Its Murcia Production Centre

News Image
7TV, a public regional channel in Murcia (Spain) operated by CBM, a Grupo Secuoya company, was launched in 2006 and has achieved record audiences in recent years with its generalist programming.

Their production centre in Molina de Segura already had a previous generation AEQ Intercom system, so the upgrade to the new AEQ panels has been very quick and they have been able to take advantage of the AoIP connections. It is worth highlighting the sound and communication quality offered by these panels, as well as the versatility of implementing the AoIP standard compatible with our existing equipment.

These AEQ user panels have been designed with the objective of achieving the high level of broadcast compatible audio quality that digital technology allows. The audio is digitised and processed at 24 bits at 48 kHz, giving a bandwidth of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and negligible levels of distortion and noise. Ease of installation has also been taken into account, so they incorporate a redundant IP port that handles high quality audio in DANTE format, compatible with the AES 67 standard. The audio is digitally processed to cancel the acoustic echo and automatically level the voice power and speech habits of each operator. The acoustics have been carefully studied to achieve the best intelligibility and natural sound.

The whole project has been coordinated by the technical team of 7TV-CBM-Secuoya in collaboration with AEQ's commercial manager for the area, Mr Bernardo Saiz.
