Allen & Heath Empowers Young Musicians

Non-profit organisation Music Crossroads hosted ETHNO camp in Maputo, bringing together aspiring musicians from five countries – Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and India.

This unique camp aimed to inspire young musicians, deepen their musical abilities, and foster a global network that supports their artistic growth and career development.

With a range of activities including workshops, jam sessions, rehearsals, and live performances, the camp gave participants an opportunity to sharpen their personal and professional skills while connecting with fellow musicians from diverse backgrounds. Music Crossroads' Qu-24 digital mixer, provided by British audio technology company Allen & Heath, was on the mix throughout the various camp activities with experienced sound engineer Noel Semo.

The ETHNO camp then wrapped up proceedings with an unforgettable concert for over 2,000 attendees, enjoying professional sound quality made possible by Allen & Heath's compact 30in / 24out mixer in Semo’s capable hands.

The Qu-24 is renowned for its powerful yet intuitive capabilities, which make it the perfect tool for both seasoned professionals and up-and-coming sound engineers. Music Crossroads has integrated the Qu-24 into many training sessions at their music academies in Mozambique and Zimbabwe, where students are learning the nuances of sound engineering in real-world settings.
