Zandar Technologies selected for Olympics coverage

Having played their part at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Commonwealth Games in Manchester, World Athletics Championships in Paris and Euro 2004 Soccer in Lisbon, Zandar MultiViewer systems will line up for the start of the Summer Games in Athens on August 13.
Once again the EBU Sports Operations Group has selected Zandar DX Series and FusionPro products for its summer of world-class sports coverage. The installation comprises over 40 racks of equipment at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in Athens which is used to deliver multilateral and unilateral feeds around the world. Live programme feeds from all of the venues will be routed into the IBC for distribution to their rights members and for viewing on site in the international Media Centre.
Zandar's flagship products, the FusionPro Series, will be used at the heart of the EBU Sport Operation contribution and transmission systems, displaying 40 channels on an array of large plasma screens in the master control room.
A further two FusionPro MultiViewers are used in the important international Media Centre to allow the world's journalists and press to view the 40 multilateral feeds and keep up to date with events in each of the Athens stadiums as they unfold.
Zandar's Managing Director Deirdre Smith said: "We are delighted to have been selected again by the EBU Sport Operations Group for such prestigious world sporting events. Our long association with them has enabled us to encompass their vision in our products, providing flexibility and versatility for use in multiple locations and key world events".
Zandar Technologies' international customer base includes many of the world's leading companies in the broadcast, television and professional video markets.
