NAB Studio Implements Unytalk Live

Unytalk has announced that NAB Studio, a state-of-the-art broadcast production centre located in the National Association of Broadcasters' (NAB) Washington, D.C. headquarters, has successfully implemented Unytalk Live to utilise the cloud-based platform for a variety of hybrid events both within and outside of the organisation.

By capitalising on Unytalk Live's advanced features to enhance engagement and interactivity, this collaboration marks a step forward in revolutionising the way interactive content and event producers engage with audiences globally.

"NAB Studio was designed not only as a functional production facility but also as a showcase for the latest technologies available to media professionals," said April Carty-Sipp, executive vice president, Industry Affairs at NAB. "As we continue to transform our studio into a global stage, we are excited about the ability to bring in people from around the world easily and display viewers and interactive participants on our studio screens."

Unytalk Live allows for live interactive webcasts that enable remote and in-studio audience members to have real-time conversations, making studio broadcasts bidirectional, at scale. Additionally, Unytalk Live can be used for guest commentary and promotional events, such as authors promoting new books or interacting directly with their readers or audience during press tours, creating a dynamic and interactive experience for all occasions.

Designed with a purpose to do far more than traditional web conferencing systems, Unytalk Live has technical features that enable users to produce live interactive content with studio hosts and remote virtual guests at scale. Unytalk Live makes hybrid live events easily accessible on everyday devices such as laptops, simplifying the process for end users from both the studio and the production sides as well as participants and guests. Users can access the system via a simple browser or a native app, depending on their use case and preferences.

Only a simple desktop is needed to bring up the studio interfaces and connect them to the existing infrastructure, making it operational in just a few minutes while eliminating the need for much of the hardware and middleware typically required for such setups. Moreover, Unytalk Live's cloud-based infrastructure ensures high availability and reliability with advanced recovery mechanisms, accommodating up to 15,000 live interactive users within a single event, while offering seamless integration with cloud-based AI tools for closed captioning, real-time translations, and audience engagement analysis.

"The promise of remote virtual production is now real," said Mahendra Penumathsa, founder, CEO, and chief product designer at Unytalk Inc. "Over the past five years, Unytalk has finetuned its cloud solution through numerous interactive events and TV shows to seamlessly integrate simple web-based technologies with complex studio production workflows. Our approach eliminates the need for extra investments or extensive setup and teardown processes. As our partnership with NAB has shown, this innovation helps the media and entertainment industry overcome the limitations of using online meeting tools, allowing for the production and distribution of studio-quality content with production values. Whether for news, interactive local TV, product launches, hybrid town halls, or interactive training sessions, Unytalk's solution is designed to meet a wide range of needs with little or no customisation required."
